Join us for the opening reception of Razzle Dazzle, a solo exhibition by textiles artist and current Kent State University MFA candidate, Krista Jo Mustain. The reception will be held on Friday, July 10th, from 5-7pm at Curated Storefront Studios, located in Suite 409 of the Bounce Innovation Hub, 526 South Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44311.

Krista's work explores dream worlds and the idea of a queer, rural utopia. Growing up as a queer kid in rural Kansas and barrel racing in the rodeo, a space that is rooted in agriculture and tradition but is drenched in glitz and glam, she now pulls imagery and inspiration from both the real and the imaginary. Her work is steeped in joy and pageantry, it is exuberant and exaggerated, and highlights the absurdity of life.

The exhibition will be on view July 10 - August 21, 2026.
